Senior Legal Advisor — Corporate tax, VAT, tax compliance, and annual accounts for international businesses in Belgium.
Thomas heads the tax and accounting advisory practice. He graduated from UGent with a specialisation in tax law and began his career at PwC Belgium, where he spent four years advising multinational clients on Belgian corporate tax, VAT structuring, and transfer pricing. At LawSupport, he manages all tax consulting, VAT registration, annual accounts filing, and payroll advisory matters for international businesses operating in Belgium.
Thomas works primarily with SMEs, start-ups, and foreign-owned subsidiaries entering the Belgian market. His clients range from technology companies and e-commerce operators to financial services firms requiring IFRS-compliant bookkeeping. A recurring focus is helping non-EU founders understand Belgian corporate tax obligations from day one — avoiding common pitfalls around VAT registration timing, deductibility rules, and the SME reduced rate threshold.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Belgium (IAB/IEC) and regularly attends SPF Finances update seminars on corporate tax reform. Thomas advises clients on R&D tax incentives (innovation income deduction, investment deduction), transfer pricing documentation for Belgian entities, and the notional interest deduction — tools that can meaningfully reduce effective tax rates for well-structured businesses.
